~* How To Play *
~ Video Bandit - Video Poker in a Slot Machine. Video Bandit is played like
a Video Poker game. You put your money in, pull the handle, and select from
the 5 cards displayed, the ones you want to hold or discard and spin again.
If you are lucky, and get a pair of Jacks or better, collect your winnings.
~* Movement Keys *
~Below is a description of available keys and what they do:
~ '8/2' = Move Marker To Select Amount To Bet.
'4/6' = Select Card to Hold/Disc.
'7/9' = Toggle between Hold and Discard.
'Space & 5' = Pull The Handle.
'H' = Display help. This help file.
'Q' = Quit Game.
'R' = Redraw Screen. In case of line noise.
~* Scoring *
~The payoff is shown on the front of the Video Bandit Machine. The better the
hand the bigger the payoff. The Joker does not count for anything unless you
get 5 of them...then it's bad news because you loose everything.
~* Features *
~ The game is very simple to play. Move the marker to the bet amount that
you want to bet. Available amounts are $1, $5, $10, $50 and $100 tokens. You
will be able to bet that domination as long as your available funds is equal
to or greater than your selection.
For instance, if you have $200 available to play you will be able to play with
$100 tokens or less. When your total goes below $100 you will only be able to
play with $1, $5, $10 or $50 tokens. When you go below $50 you will only be
able to bet $1, $5 or $10 tokens. And so on until you run out of money.
Hot keys are available at the opening Main Menu and at closing Score Menu.
You may select options while a screen is printing. This is handy, once you
become familiar with the game and don't need to see the options.
~* Registered Features *
~ Once Video Bandit is registered, the following features are available.
~ The game has the Make-Up Missed Hands and Play Ahead Day features.
if 3 hands are allowed per day and you only play two, you don't have to worry
with calling back in the same day. You can call in on any other day and after
playing the current day you can select that day on the calendar and "make-up"
the remaining hands. These days are marked by an 'h' on the calendar, to
indicating you've played on that day but have hands remaining.
~Thanks For Playing Video Bandit
